Primary School of Heraklion city
the oldest public schools in the city of Heraklion
is 54th Primary School. As situated in this
Cretan Major city, which is going to host some
of the Olympic Games in 2004, it is preparing
pupils for the forthcoming event through environmental
historic building, which used to house the Teaching
Training College in the past, welcomes daily
150 pupils aged from 6 to 12. Furthermore, the
school employs nine teachers, an English teacher,
one computers teacher, three gymnastics instructors,
one music teacher and finally an Art instructor.
Consequently the building itself due to its
long – lasting existence, best supports the
program which aims at the cultivation / promotion
of sustained development.
